Installing MOSS SP1 Language Packs

The following is the step by step instructions for installing MOSS SP1 with language packs. This assumes you’re installing the language pack on a server with MOSS SP1 already installed. If you don’t have MOSS with SP1 already installed, you should install it first.

Some of these downloads are “img” files. Those files are CD images and you will need a utility to read the image or you can burn the image to a CD. (Google VCDControlTool.exe)

Start by reviewing these instructions. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262108.aspx.

1. Setup the language files on your server

On your front-end Web server, click Start, point to Settings and then Control Panel, and then click Regional and Language Options.

In the Regional and Language Options dialog box, on the Languages tab, in the Supplemental Language Support section, select one or both of the following checkboxes:
Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages
Install files for East Asian languages

Click OK in the dialog box that alerts you that additional disk space is required for the files.

Click OK to install the additional language files.
